1. Who We Are
AoEM Companion is a community platform designed for players of Age of Empires Mobile, offering communication tools, alliance features, chats, verification systems, and related tactical services.
2. Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the Platform, we may collect the following data:
- Account Data: Email address, User ID, and display name. If using Google Sign-In, certain profile data is shared according to your Google settings.
- Verification Uploads: Screenshots uploaded for governor account verification.
- Communication Data: Direct messages, alliance chats, kingdom chats, event chats, and timestamps.
- Technical Data: IP address (processed by our hosting provider), browser type, and session/error logs.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Create and manage user accounts.
- Operate chat systems and community governance features.
- Process verification requests.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and handle support requests.
4. Verification Screenshot Uploads
Screenshots uploaded for governor verification are used only for review purposes and are securely deleted after approval or rejection within a reasonable timeframe.
5. Service Providers & Retention
We use trusted third-party providers (like Supabase for database/auth and Vercel for hosting) who may process data on our behalf. We retain data only as long as an account is active. Chat data is retained until deleted, and diagnostic logs belong to standard automated rotation.
6. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law (including GDPR if you are located in the European Economic Area), you have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data.
Community Guidelines
AoEM Companion is built on trust, respect, and strategic cooperation. To keep the platform safe and enjoyable for everyone, all members must adhere to the following rules.
1. Respect & Conduct
Treat all players respectfully. Toxicity, hate speech, severe insults, and harassment are strictly prohibited. Disagreements over game politics are fine; personal attacks are not.
2. Witch-Hunting & Naming
Targeted harassment campaigns ("witch-hunting") against specific governors or alliances are not allowed. You may discuss in-game conflicts in official channels, but excessive public naming-and-shaming or coordinating abuse is forbidden.
3. Privacy matters
Do not share or attempt to extract real-world personal information (doxxing). Keep communications strictly about the game and platform features.
4. Verification Integrity
Submitting forged, modified, or stolen screenshots during the profile verification process is grounds for account termination.
We reserve the right to remove access, delete accounts, or moderate content without prior notice if these guidelines are severely violated.
